About Helly Hansen Deutschland
Helly Hansen Deutschland represents the German operations of the world-renowned Norwegian outdoor and workwear brand. Helly Hansen (HH) is a Norwegian manufacturer and retailer of clothing and sports equipment, owned by the American clothing company Kontoor Brands and operated as a subsidiary. Currently headquartered in Oslo, it was previously headquartered in Moss, Norway, from its founding in 1877 until October 2009.
The company's legacy spans over 145 years, beginning when Helly Juell Hansen had been at sea since the age of 14 and in 1877, at the age of 35, he and his wife Maren Margarethe produced their first oilskin jackets, trousers, sou'westers and tarpaulins, made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil. In 1878, the company won a diploma for excellence at the Paris Expo, and began exporting its products.

What Advanced Technologies Does Helly Hansen Deutschland Use?
The company incorporates proprietary fabric technologies developed over decades of innovation. Helly Hansen incorporates proprietary technology fabrics such as HELLY TECH® for waterproofing, LIFA® for moisture management, and H2Flow™ for body temperature regulation. These fabric innovations set the brand apart in terms of both comfort and performance.
HELLY TECH® Technology
In 1980 the company's breathable, waterproof fabric system, called Helly Tech, was launched. Helly Tech® waterproof and breathable technology was launched in the 1980's, winning awards and setting the new standard for performance and protection.
LIFA® Innovation
HH's LIFA® revolutionized the industry with the introduction of the first technical baselayers. LIFA® moves moisture away from the body allowing users to stay warm and comfortable. Lifa® technology is one of Helly's oldest innovations. Lifa is a moisture management system that Helly Hansen workwear employs to control the temperature in a garment and keep the wearer comfortable.
H2 Flow™ Technology
Helly Hansen introduced the new H2 Flow™ Technology in 2012 with the H2 Flow™ Jacket, which won an Award for Design Excellence from the Norwegian Design Council.
