• EN 13688:2013

  Reflective Strip Area Grade 1

  The standard EN ISO 20471:2013 specifies requirements for high visibility clothing, ensuring that individuals are visible in various lighting conditions. A Grade 1 result for the Reflective Strip Area indicates that reflective tape is 0.10 m2 and fluorescent material is 0.14 m2. Grade 1 products are suitable for environments with lower risk levels where visibility is nonetheless essential. The test method for determining this grade involves measuring the area and reflectivity of strips on clothing under different light conditions, ensuring that they meet predefined criteria for visibility as outlined by EN ISO 20471:2013. • CE Marking

• PPE Category 2

Examples of PPE Category 2 include safety helmets, ear protection, and fall arrest equipment. In Europe, PPE Category 2 must meet certain safety standards set by the European Union, which means that it must be designed and manufactured to protect the user without causing harm. Companies that make or sell PPE must prove that it meets these standards. They also must have a quality management system in place and have to be audited regularly by a notified body.
