ABENA Waterproof Postoperative Dressing is a soft and comfortable sterile dressing for lightly exuding wounds as well as for sutured wounds. The top layer is made of nonwoven material with a semi-permeable polyurethane film. The top layer allows fluid from the wound to evaporate, thereby reducing the risk of skin sloughing under wound dressings. The wound pad absorbs any excess fluid and prevents the dressing from sticking. The adhesive is skin-friendly and leaves no residue. The dressing is bacteria and virus resistant and can also be used in the shower. Used as a primary dressing for dry and slightly wet wounds, e.g. cuts, abrasions and scab protection over sutured wounds.
