Asatex began its journey in 1982 as a German family business founded by entrepreneur Carsten Blöcker, initially focusing on hand protection products before quickly developing into a specialist in all matters relating to protective workwear with a constantly growing product range. The company is headquartered in Bergheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and has evolved into a leading manufacturer of protective clothing that stands for a comprehensive, innovative and responsible approach to workplace safety.

In 1995, Asatex transformed into a public limited company and moved to its current premises in Bergheim near Cologne, which features modern offices alongside a storage area of over 8,500 square metres and a comprehensive, highly efficient high-bay warehouse.
