• EN 388:2016

  Protective gloves with the EN 388:2016 rating are tested for resistance against mechanical risks like abrasion, cuts, tears, punctures, and optional impact. This rating helps you quickly identify and choose gloves that offer the right level of protection for your hands during various tasks.

  Cut Resistance, ISO 13997 Level X

  Provides the highest level of cut protection, passing a specialized test for materials that dull blades.

  Cut Resistance, Coup Test Level 3

  Offers moderate protection against cuts from materials like sheet metal and other sharp-edged objects.

  Tear Resistance Level 4

  Offers the highest level of protection against tearing, withstanding a strong force before ripping.

  Abrasion Resistance Level 4

  Offers the highest level of protection against intense rubbing and wear from rough materials.

  Puncture Resistance Level 4

  Offers the highest protection against puncture from objects like nails, measured with a standardized blunt probe.

• EN 407:2004

  Gloves with the EN 407:2004 rating are tested for protection against various thermal risks including flammability, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat, and splashes of molten metal. This means you can choose gloves that offer certified protection against specific heat and fire hazards for your safety.

  Test results

  Metal Splash Resistance Level X

  This product has not been tested for resistance against splashes of molten metal under the EN 407 standard. It does not offer rated protection for tasks where this is a risk, such as welding.

  Heat Contact Level 2

  This product provides protection from contact heat up to 250°C for at least 15 seconds. It is ideal for tasks where you might briefly handle hot items, such as in kitchens or workshops.

  Burning Behaviour Level 4

  Provides the highest level of protection against catching fire when exposed to a naked flame. After the flame is removed, the material will stop burning within 2 seconds and stop glowing within 5 seconds.

  Heat Convection Level 3

  Provides a good level of protection by delaying the transfer of heat from a flame for at least 10 seconds. This makes it suitable for tasks where your hands might be briefly exposed to open flames.

  Radiant Heat Level X

  This product was not tested for protection against radiant heat, which is intense heat that can be felt from a distance. It does not claim to offer protection for tasks involving prolonged exposure to radiant heat sources.

  Molten Metal Resistance Level 3

  Provides strong protection against large splashes of molten metal. This product is tested to resist a significant quantity (120g) of molten iron, making it suitable for demanding tasks like foundry work where large spills are a risk.

• EN 12477:2001

  Protective gloves for welders with the EN 12477:2001 rating are tested for protection against hazards encountered during welding, including molten metal splashes, heat, flame, and mechanical risks like abrasion and cuts. This ensures the gloves provide a verified level of safety and the right dexterity for your specific welding tasks.
