We started manufacturing our own products in the 1950s from XZ's oil treatment plant. Our products are currently being developed
and manufactured in Heinävesi, where we employ 60 people and are the largest single employer in the area.

Our story began in 1883 with the import of herring, when the Norwegian Sören Berner arrived in Helsinki to explore the market in a city of 40 000 inhabitants. He decided to start a business in Finland by importing herring directly from the fishing grounds in Stavanger, Norway, to Helsinki.
