To meet this standard, industrial helmet must be able to protect the head from minor impact and penetration. Possible test results include measurements of the helmet's impact resistance and penetration resistance, as well as an evaluation of its ability to resist wear and tear. The standard also includes requirements for the proper use, maintenance, marking and identification of industrial helmets.
