EN 14404:2004+A1:2010 is a European standard that sets the rules for chimneys made of clay. The amendment A1:2010 includes additional requirements for the performance of chimneys and additional test methods to check the performance of the chimneys. Possible test results include measurements of strength, stretchiness, and how well the chimneys resist fire. The standard helps make sure chimneys made of clay are safe to use.
