Indicates the lens material's measured thickness, directly affecting impact resistance, optical clarity, and overall weight for comfortable extended wear.
Measured in grams or kilograms, indicating how heavy the eyewear is when worn. Lighter glasses reduce fatigue during extended use in industrial settings.
Indicates the tint of protective lenses that filter specific light wavelengths, enhancing visibility and reducing eye strain in various work environments.
The material of the temple arms affects comfort, durability, and weight of safety glasses, with options ranging from lightweight polymers to durable metals for different work environments.
The composition of the frame that affects durability, weight, comfort, and resistance to chemicals or impacts — crucial for selecting appropriate protection for specific workplace hazards.
Numerical rating indicating lens quality and visual clarity. Higher ratings ensure minimal distortion, reduced eye strain, and optimal visibility for precision tasks.

Frame Marking 5The marking 5 on eyewear frames as per standard EN 166:1995 indicates that the eyewear is designed to protect against gas and fine dust particles. This specific frame marking means that the eyewear has been successfully tested and meets the necessary criteria for providing certain levels of protection against these fine particles, ensuring the safety and health of the user in environments where gas and dust are a risk. The testing method for this standard involves evaluating the frames' ability to prevent fine dust and gas particles from reaching the wearer's eyes, simulating conditions that might occur in various industrial settings. The practical implications of achieving a 5 frame marking are significant for products used in chemical industries, pharmaceutical processing, or any dusty environments. It assures procurement professionals and safety officers that the eyewear can deliver appropriate protection as certified under the stringent requirements of the EN 166:1995 standard .
Frame Marking 3EN 166:1995 standard for Frame Marking result 3 is primarily related to protection against droplets or splashes of liquids. This marking indicates that the eyewear frame has been tested and meets the standards to protect against liquid splashes, which is particularly essential in environments where exposure to such hazards is prevalent. Testing for this marking ensures that the frame, along with the lenses, can resist impacts from splashes effectively, thus providing a significant level of protection for the wearer's eyes under these specific conditions.
Frame Marking 4The frame marking '4' in standard EN 166:1995 refers to frames specifically tested for resistance against large dust particles, indicating that eyewear with this marking can prevent large dust particles from reaching the eye, a critical feature in environments with significant airborne debris. The testing methodology involves assessing the capability of the frame to form a protective seal or barrier against the simulated intrusion of large dust particles. Frames marked with '4' have undergone rigorous testing to ensure that when worn properly, they significantly reduce the possibility of dust entering around the lenses and reaching the eyes. This ensures a high safety standard for users working in environments with large particulate matter, providing essential eye protection that adheres to the certified EU standards.
EN ISO 9001:2015 is a standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system (QMS). It is a set of guidelines that organizations can follow to ensure that they meet customer requirements and enhance customer satisfaction. The standard is based on the plan-do-check-act model and focuses on continuous improvement. It covers the design, development, production, installation, and servicing of products. Organizations can get certified to this standard, which means that they have been independently audited and found to meet the requirements of the standard. The certification process includes regular audits to ensure that the organization continues to meet the standard's requirements.

Service Reliability PassedCE Marking is a label that shows a product meets certain safety and environmental standards set by the European Union. To get the CE Marking, a company must test and certify their product meets these standards. CE Marking is required for many products sold in the EU, including electronics, machinery, toys and medical devices. It helps ensure that products are safe for consumers and the environment, and allows for easy trade within the EU.
DIN Geprüft is a German term that means "Tested to DIN Standards." DIN stands for Deutsches Institut für Normung (German Institute for Standardization). In Europe, DIN Geprüft is a certification that signifies that a product has been tested and meets certain standards for safety, quality and performance set by DIN. The requirements for DIN Geprüft certification will vary depending on the specific product and standard.
