• EN ISO 21420:2020

  Protective gloves, mittens, and arm protectors with the EN ISO 21420:2020 rating are tested for general requirements like material safety, comfortable fit, and dexterity. This ensures the products are safe against your skin, provide a good fit, and allow for easy hand movement while you use them.

  General Requirements Guide

  Ensures protective gloves meet general requirements for design, comfort, and safety. It guarantees the materials won't harm you, are sized correctly for better dexterity, and are constructed to be easily put on and taken off.

• EN 388:2016

  Protective gloves with the EN 388:2016 rating are tested for resistance against mechanical risks like abrasion, cuts, tears, punctures, and optional impact. This rating helps you quickly identify and choose gloves that offer the right level of protection for your hands during various tasks.

  Tear Resistance Level 2

  Offers moderate resistance against snagging or catching on rough objects, preventing small rips from growing.

  Puncture Resistance Level 2

  Withstands moderate force from sharp objects like heavy-duty splinters or wires.

  Abrasion Resistance Level 3

  Provides good resistance against scraping, scratching, and rubbing on rough or abrasive surfaces.

  Cut Resistance, ISO 13997 Level X

  Provides the highest level of cut protection, passing a specialized test for materials that dull blades.

  Cut Resistance, ISO 13997 Level C

  Offers medium protection against cut risks from handling lightweight metals and plastics.

• EN 407:2020

  Gloves and other hand protective equipment with the EN 407:2020 rating are tested for protection against heat and/or fire, including resistance to flames, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat, and splashes of molten metal. This means you can choose products with specific protection levels to safely handle hot items, work near flames, or in environments with thermal risks.

  Heat Contact Level 1

  This product provides short-term protection against contact with hot objects up to 100°C (212°F) for at least 15 seconds. It is ideal for brief handling of warm items in non-professional settings like home kitchens.

  Heat Convection Level 1

  Offers certified protection by delaying the transfer of heat from an open flame to your hand. This basic level is designed for low-risk tasks, giving you a few seconds of protection when briefly exposed to heat from a flame.

  Molten Metal Resistance Level X

  This product was not tested for resistance against molten metal splashes under the EN 407 standard. Therefore, it is not intended for use in activities like welding or foundry work where this specific hazard is present.

  Radiant Heat Level 1

  Provides basic protection by delaying heat transfer from a radiant source for at least 7 seconds. This makes it suitable for brief exposure to radiant heat, such as when working near ovens or furnaces from a distance.

  Burning Behaviour Level 4

  Offers the highest protection against catching fire when briefly touching a naked flame. The material resists burning and will extinguish itself almost immediately, giving you crucial time to react and stay safe from burns.

  Metal Splash Resistance Level X

  This product has not been tested for resistance against splashes of molten metal under the EN 407 standard. It is not intended for use in activities like welding or foundry work where this specific protection is required.

• PPE Category 3

  PPE stands for "personal protective equipment." PPE Category 3 refers to equipment that is complex and provide the highest level of protection such as powered respirators, SCBA, and full body suits. In Europe, PPE Category 3 must meet certain safety standards set by the European Union, which means that it must be designed and manufactured to protect the user without causing harm. Companies that make or sell PPE must prove that it meets these standards. They also must have a quality management system in place, have to be audited regularly by a notified body and have to have a technical documentation.
