HAIX PROTECTOR FOREST 2.1 GTX Red/Yellow
Product description
The upper material is made of hydrophobized, breathable suede with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.0 mm. The cut protection corresponds to level 2 (24 m/sec.) in accordance with EN ISO 17249: 2013. The inner lining is made of waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® Performance material with a fleece interlayer, which ensures optimum climate comfort under the most demanding conditions. The synthetic/fleece insole is moisture-absorbent, dimensionally stable and torsion-resistant and reduces pressure points, e.g. from stones. The anatomically shaped and padded protective toe cap is available in a wide version. The insole is comfortable, cushioning and moisture-wicking. The separate heel cup provides good cushioning and foot guidance. The stable and abrasion-resistant VIBRAM rubber/PU sole with robust off-road tread is heat and fuel resistant, non-marking and complies with EN ISO 20345: 2011. The HAIX® Climate System uses the pumping motion that occurs when walking and transports moisture to the ventilation openings on the shaft and tongue. The two-zone lacing system allows the boot to be adjusted separately to the foot and shaft area. Other features include a lacing system with smooth-running lacing elements, no side seams, an edge-stable sole, rubber toe and heel protection for a longer service life and a circumferential rubber edge strip for stabilization and protection against stones, spikes, etc.

Standards and labels
EN ISO 20345:2011 is a rule book for safety shoes and boots worn by people working in construction. It tells how the shoes and boots should be made and tested, to make sure they protect the feet from hazards such as slips and falls. Test results will show how good the shoes and boots are at not slipping, if they can handle water and if they last a long time. The goal of the standard is to make sure that the shoes and boots that construction workers wear keep their feet safe.

General Requirements FOGeneral Requirements WREN ISO 17249:2013 is a standard that defines the requirements and test methods for protective gloves used in thermal risks protection. It specifies the performance requirements for protection against thermal risks such as contact heat and flame. The requirements include resistance to heat and flame, and freedom from holes. The test results include the level of protection against thermal risks, and the results of visual inspection. It also includes test procedure for gloves and gives guidelines for the selection, care and use of gloves. It gives also the methods for evaluating the thermal risk protection properties of gloves and the performance levels that can be expected. The standard also includes the requirements for labeling and information to be provided by the manufacturers and suppliers of gloves for thermal risks protection. This version of the standard replaces the previous version EN ISO 17249:2004/A1:2007 and includes updates to the test methods and requirements.
