HAIX CLIMBER Safety Boot for Utility Workers
Product description
The upper is made of waterproof leather that is hydrophobic and breathable (5.0 mg/cm²/h) and 2.5-2.7 mm thick. The inner lining is made of a 4-layer GORE-TEX® laminate that is waterproof and breathable. The lining is highly abrasion-resistant and has a fleece interlayer. This ensures optimum climate comfort for the highest demands in all seasons. It also offers increased chemical protection. The synthetic/fleece insole is moisture-absorbent, dimensionally stable and torsion-resistant. It reduces punctual pressure, e.g. from stones. The anatomically shaped footbed absorbs moisture very well and dries quickly. It is replaceable and washable. The anatomically shaped and padded protective toe cap has a wide design. The stable rubber/PU sole has a robust off-road profile, is abrasion-resistant and non-slip. The PU shock-absorbing wedge in the heel area provides shock absorption and good walking comfort. Hand-applied rubber edge strips ensure optimum lateral stability. In accordance with EN ISO 20345: 2011, the HAIX® Climate System is equipped with Micro-Dry lining on the shaft end. The HAIX® FP SystemFlex Protection is a leather reinforcement over the heel bend that protects this flexible and soft insert in the bend zone from friction. The Sun Reflect reduces the heating effect of the upper leather caused by sunlight. Sunlight is reflected by the leather, so less heat is conducted to the foot. Standards and labels
EN ISO 20345:2011 is a rule book for safety shoes and boots worn by people working in construction. It tells how the shoes and boots should be made and tested, to make sure they protect the feet from hazards such as slips and falls. Test results will show how good the shoes and boots are at not slipping, if they can handle water and if they last a long time. The goal of the standard is to make sure that the shoes and boots that construction workers wear keep their feet safe.
