Toe Cap Material · Steel

The material used in the protective toe cap, determining the level of impact protection, weight, and suitability for different work environments.

Product description

The upper material consists of waterproof leather, which is hydrophobized and breathable (4.0 mg/cm²/h) and 2.5-2.7 mm thick. The cut protection corresponds to Level 1 (20m/sec.) in accordance with EN ISO 17249: 2013 + AC: 2014. The inner lining consists of GORE-TEX® Performance, which is waterproof and breathable. The lining fabric is highly abrasion-resistant and features a fleece midlayer. This ensures optimal climate comfort under the highest demands in all seasons. The plastic/fleece insole offers increased chemical protection and is moisture-absorbing. It is dimensionally stable, torsion-resistant, and reduces point pressure (e.g., from stones). The anatomically formed insert has very good moisture absorption and dries quickly. It is exchangeable and washable. The anatomically formed steel toe cap meets the highest safety requirements. The flexible, lightweight, and puncture-resistant metallic sole insert provides protection. The rubber outsole features a proven street/terrain tread, is abrasion-resistant and non-slip. It has a large beveled contact surface and increased rolling comfort. The rubber sole insulates excellently against cold and heat. The outsole is heat and fuel resistant and non-marking. According to EN ISO 20345: 2011. The HAIX® Climate System uses the pumping movement generated when walking and transports moisture to the ventilation openings on the shaft and tongue. The HAIX® CO System offers pressure relief, cushioning, correction of foot position, body alignment, and muscle balance. Sun Reflect reduces the heating effect

Examples of PPE Category 2 include safety helmets, ear protection, and fall arrest equipment. In Europe, PPE Category 2 must meet certain safety standards set by the European Union, which means that it must be designed and manufactured to protect the user without causing harm.
