  EN 172:1994/A2:2001 is an amendment of European standard EN 172:1994/A1:2000 for sunglasses and related eyewear. This amendment add more specific performance requirements for the UV protection of sunglasses. Test results for EN 172:1994/A2:2001 include measurements of the eyewear's transmittance, luminous transmittance, as well as tests for impact resistance and UV protection. This standard also includes requirements for the labeling, marking and packaging of the eyewear.
