EN 795:2012 is an European standard that sets out the requirements for the design and testing of fall protection equipment and fall protection devices. It covers the performance requirements for safety, reliability and durability of fall protection devices and equipments. To meet this standard, a fall protection device or equipment must be able to stop a person from falling and protect them from injury. Possible test results include measurements of the device's or equipment's strength and stability, as well as an evaluation of its ability to resist wear and tear, environmental factors and its ability to be used in different scenarios. The standard also includes requirements for the proper use, maintenance, marking and identification of fall protection devices and equipments.
