  RoHS directive stands for "Restriction of Hazardous Substances." It is a set of rules that limit the amount of certain harmful chemicals that can be used in electronic products. RoHS is a European Union directive. This means that all electronic products sold in the EU must meet these rules. The main goal of RoHS is to reduce the amount of lead, mercury, cadmium, and other harmful chemicals in electronic products to protect the environment and human health. Companies that make or sell electronic products in the EU must prove that their products meet RoHS requirements.
