• EN 388:2016

• EN 407:2020

  Gloves and other hand protective equipment with the EN 407:2020 rating are tested for protection against heat and/or fire, including resistance to flames, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat, and splashes of molten metal. This means you can choose products with specific protection levels to safely handle hot items, work near flames, or in environments with thermal risks.

  Metal Splash Resistance Level 4

  Offers the highest protection (Level 4) from large splashes of molten metal, withstanding up to 200 grams. This provides critical safety for high-risk jobs like welding or foundry work where significant contact with molten metal is possible.

  Molten Metal Resistance Level X

  This product was not tested for resistance against molten metal splashes under the EN 407 standard. Therefore, it is not intended for use in activities like welding or foundry work where this specific hazard is present.

  Heat Convection Level X

  This product has not been tested for protection against convective heat, which is the transfer of heat through moving air or fluids. Therefore, no specific performance level for delaying heat transfer from a flame is claimed.

  Heat Contact Level 1

  This product provides short-term protection against contact with hot objects up to 100°C (212°F) for at least 15 seconds. It is ideal for brief handling of warm items in non-professional settings like home kitchens.

  Burning Behaviour Level 4

  Offers the highest protection against catching fire when briefly touching a naked flame. The material resists burning and will extinguish itself almost immediately, giving you crucial time to react and stay safe from burns.

  Radiant Heat Level 3

  This product provides good protection against radiant heat, delaying heat transfer for at least 50 seconds. It is suitable for situations where you are exposed to significant heat rays, such as working near furnaces or foundries.
