• EN 511:2006

  Gloves with the EN 511:2006 rating are tested for protection against convective cold (from air/wind), contact cold (from touching objects), and water penetration. This helps ensure your hands stay warm and protected in various cold conditions, preventing discomfort and cold-related injuries.

  Test results

  Cold Contact Level 1

  Provides light thermal insulation when directly handling cold objects. This offers basic protection for short or intermittent contact with cold surfaces, suitable for general tasks in cool conditions rather than prolonged exposure to extreme cold.

  Convective Cold Level 1

  This glove provides light thermal insulation against the penetrating chill from cold air and wind. It is suitable for use in cool conditions, offering a basic level of protection to keep your hands warm.

  Water Tightness Level 0

  This product does not protect against water. Under standard testing, water penetrated the material in less than 30 minutes. While not waterproof, it may still offer protection against convective and contact cold.

• EN 388:2016

  Protective gloves with the EN 388:2016 rating are tested for resistance against mechanical risks like abrasion, cuts, tears, punctures, and optional impact. This rating helps you quickly identify and choose gloves that offer the right level of protection for your hands during various tasks.

  Tear Resistance Level 3

  Offers strong resistance against ripping, making the material durable against snags and tears.

  Cut Resistance, ISO 13997 Level X

  Provides the highest level of cut protection, passing a specialized test for materials that dull blades.

  Cut Resistance, ISO 13997 Level D

  Offers strong protection against cuts from utility knives, glass edges, and sheet metal.

  Abrasion Resistance Level 1

  Provides basic resistance against scraping and surface wear for low-risk tasks.

  Puncture Resistance Level 2

  Withstands moderate force from sharp objects like heavy-duty splinters or wires.

• EN 420:2003+A1:2009

  Protective gloves with the EN 420:2003+A1:2009 rating are tested for general design, safe materials (innocuousness), water penetration, comfort, and dexterity. This ensures the gloves are safe, fit correctly, and allow you to perform tasks effectively without discomfort.

• PPE Category 2

  PPE stands for "personal protective equipment." PPE Category 2 refers to equipment that is more complex, and has a higher level of risk. Examples of PPE Category 2 include safety helmets, ear protection, and fall arrest equipment. In Europe, PPE Category 2 must meet certain safety standards set by the European Union, which means that it must be designed and manufactured to protect the user without causing harm. Companies that make or sell PPE must prove that it meets these standards. They also must have a quality management system in place and have to be audited regularly by a notified body.
